I do apologize for the absence of emails from me.  I got sick at the beginning of April, Easter arrived and I went to see my daughter in Louisville, and then things got super busy.  Sometimes life is really hard.

As most of you know, in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 13, DJ Dave’s beloved wife Diane had a massive heart attack and passed away.  They’d been married for 37 years, and together for 39.  To say this is rough for Dave is an understatement.  He still hosted the dance we had scheduled at the Moose for the next evening, and so many of you attended to support him.  He said over and over that he needed to be with his people in this difficult time; thank you so much for being there for him.

The Elgin Moose Lodge (925 S. McLean Blvd. in Elgin, IL) has offered to host a Celebration of Life for Diane on Saturday, May 13th, from 11 am – 4 pm.  Won’t you come share your memories with Dave and his family?  He’ll be providing sandwiches and is asking us to bring a dish to pass; lunch will be at 12:30.  A cash bar will be available.

Please wear pink, Diane’s favorite color.  If you’d like to send Dave a card, let me know and I’ll provide you with his address.
