Was your weekend as wild as mine? I can’t believe how busy life has become. It’s getting challenging to save time to relax & regroup, and it’s necessary. To that end, I’ll be leaving on a jet plane for Memorial Day weekend for a little R & R. I’m heading out west to visit my cousin Olivia and her family, and the closest airport to where she moved is Las Vegas. Oh well! Guess I’ll check out The Strip and Gilley’s Saloon for line dancing at the Treasure Island resort!! A girl’s just got to do what a girl’s got to do.
DJ Dave & I WILL be hosting line dancing THIS TUESDAY (5/23) at Carmina’s from 7 – 10 pm as usual, but NOT on Tuesday 5/30. We’ll also host line & couples dancing SATURDAY 6/3 from 7 – 11 pm at the McHenry VFW and at the Moose on FRIDAY 6/9 & 6/30 from 7 – 11 pm (all $10 cover). Thank you all so much for your attendance and support at our dances, and ESPECIALLY at Dave’s wife Diane’s Celebration of Life on May 13th. An estimated 130 people came out to show Dave their love, and I’m so grateful to be one of that number. We truly have an unbelievably loving dance family!
Because of my upcoming vacation, all classes have been cancelled for THURSDAY 5/25 and TUESDAY 5/30. Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, and remember why we have this holiday. We live in this fantastic country because of the men and women who fought for our freedom. THANK YOU!!
