I’m hunkered down in Orange, CA for a few weeks; how about you?  I’m having trouble with this isolation.  I understand Covid is real; one of my friends almost died from it.  Still, I’m struggling with dealing with the lockdowns. I’m so glad 2020 is almost over!  So I decided to visit with some family for a while, and it feels good to regroup.  We had a small gathering for Christmas, and I’ve enjoyed seeing your pictures of your families, as well.  Feels good, doesn’t it?!

I’m continuing to run online classes this week for those of you who still want to line dance (register at www.dancewithjanet.com/virtual).  Since Christmas is over, we’ll be back to regular music.  I’m targeting being back late January 10th.  I can’t wait to dance with you all again.

In case you missed it, The 2021 Dance With Janet Cruise to Alaska has been postponed to 2022.  We will sail from June 3 – June 10 and a land trip is set to follow.  The ship is the same, the itinery is almost exact, and your reservation can be seamlessly transferred through Harlan; give him a call at 630.334.4646. Hopefully the world will be closer to normal in 2022.

My virtual schedule for New Year’s week is as follows:

– Beginner 1 VIRTUAL Line Dancing from 10:00 – 11:00 am CST thru Elgin Senior Center’s website, FREE (visit http://www.seniorservicesassoc.org, News & Events in the blue menu bar, Elgin Events, Events Calendar on the very bottom left, View Details under Line Dancing With Janet – you must register and the link will then be sent to you)

Take advantage of any virtual or in-person dance for the month for just $95!  Each pass is only good for the month’s classes and dances.  Use the emailed coupon code (this could take up to 24 hours for you to receive) to register for any LIVE (Virtual), in-person, or pre-recorded events for the month.  You MUST STILL REGISTER in order to receive the link and/or recording.  All LIVE Virtual classes will still include the recording of the class.

Park District classes
are tentatively scheduled to resume the week of January 10th.  If classes really can begin that week, they’ll be prorated, as the original start dates for a lot of them are the week of January 3rd.

If you haven’t taken advantage of the time at home to learn how to dance yet, grab some pre-recorded lessons from my website.  The virtual page has TONS, and couples lessons and video reviews can be found at www.dancewithjanet.com/products.  Learn from home so you’ll know what you’re doing when we all dance together in person again!

Hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR celebration!  Love ya!
