Winter Boot Camp in Warrenville is just 10 days away!  Sunday Nite Country is March 22nd from 6 – 9 at 3S240 Warren Ave. (with a special 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY dinner from 5:30 – 7); we’ll meet for 2 hours of classes from 3 – 5:15 before that dance.  Your $20 admission price includes any two classes and dinner; the evening dance is a separate $5.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Joining me to complete our all-star cast is:

  • Gary LaForte from Swing ‘n’ Country Dance Club teaching Two Step (3 – 4) and Double Two (4:10 – 5:10)
  • Estelle Peabody from Saddle Up Saloon and Firewater Saloon teaching various entry-level beginner dances for both class hours (no experience necessary)

I’ll be teaching three Beginner 2 level dances (experience preferred) from 3 – 4:  Alabama Pines by our own Wayne Jensen, Don’t It by Banjo‘s Lynn Card, & Sun Daze by Donna Manning.

I will also teach the oft-requested Fourplay from 4:10 – 5:10 (a 64 count east/west coast partner pattern dance, often danced to Blurred Lines).  Since this dance is most easily learned with multiple people who already know it, members of the Country Cruisers & Cadillac Ranch Dance Teams have graciously offered their assistance.  It’s going to be FUN – don’t miss this class if you’ve been hoping to learn it; it’s the FIRST time I’ve taught it publicly.  I have no idea if or when I’ll teach it again, so mark your calendars!!

I’ll see you on the dance floor!

Janet Kruse
