How AWESOME! The world is reopening and we now have some solid venues for dancing in person on the weekends!

In addition to the dances I host, Spotted Fox in St. Charles (3615 E. Main St./Rte 64, across from Charlestowne Mall) is open for dancing every Friday and Saturday evening.  Estelle hosts on Fridays, and I’m be there TONIGHT, Saturday the 20th, with DJ Jimmy; he & I worked together back in the Cadillac Ranch days.  He’s a great guy who knows the country dances backwards and forwards.  I’ll be teaching TWO lessons, a line dance at 9 pm (SUGAR HONEY I.T., Ray’s signature dance!) and a couples partner pattern dance (another contribution from Ray, BILLY’S DANCE) at 10 pm.  NO COVER and Jimmy plays lines AND couples dances; hope to see you!  Masks are optional.

** I’m continuing to provide VIRTUAL LINE DANCE EXPERIENCES for those of you who aren’t comfortable dancing in person yet.  All lessons & dances (virtual AND in-person) are listed in one spot at

** BEGINNER IN-PERSON LINE DANCING at Heart & Sole in Joliet (near 355 & 80) IS RUNNING.  I’m teaching from 7:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursdays; the 3000 sf WOOD dance floor is SPECATACULAR!  Please visit for more details, including registration information.  Masks are required.  BRAUER HOUSE is OFF this Thursday the 25th.

** When I personally host & DJ my own dances, I run through each dance first, so you’re more likely to remember it (or speed-learn it).  Masks are optional.  UPCOMING IN-PERSON DANCES in March ($10 cover) are:

– Beginner (Bridge) Dance, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm CST on Sunday 3/7 at the WHEATON VFW
– Intermediate Nite from 6:00 – 9:00 pm CST on Friday 3/12 at a PRIVATE RESIDENCE
