You’ve seen Gene Kelly singin’ in the rain, but believe me, that’s nothing compared to watching over a dozen people DANCING in the rain – with genuine ear-to-ear grins on their faces. I had no idea how the dancers who showed up to dance in the Itasca Memorial Day parade would respond to literally having their parade rained on. Even seeing their glee, I could not believe it. I can be kind of stubborn that way: events unfold right before my eyes, and my response is, “Nah, that’s not really happening.” Brilliant, huh? It did not merely sprinkle yesterday during the parade. Nothing but everything for us! The heavens opened and it was a DOWNPOUR. Yet through it all, our unanimous mantra was, “The Show Must Go On!” Thank you, everyone, for living the lesson ONCE AGAIN: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain. WITH BOUNDLESS JOY!!
