HUGE NEWS – a room exists where we can dance, it’s a wood parquet floor, it’s so gigantic that no one knows the square footage (yes, it dwarfs Willowbrook Ballroom), and it’s in at Rt. 20 & County Farm Roads! Yes, I’m talking about one of the domes at the Hanover Park Park District. Two of the ladies in charge went dancing at O’Hares/Midway with Tressa’s group and loved it! DJ Dave was running the show that night, and they asked if we would come try dancing at their place. When I saw the size of the room – it’s a gym with a stage, about 5 volleyball courts long – I gasped. It’d truly be the biggest dance floor ever!! Couples & line dancers could both dance at the same time and not even know the others were in the room!
LET’S TRY IT!! We’re booked for SATURDAY, APRIL 6th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Tables & chairs will be set up for us, and DJ Dave will keep us dancing all evening! I’ll probably teach a couple of lessons if it works out – or if you just wanna dance, dance, dance, then I won’t! We’ll see how it goes and what you’d like. You can bring water and munchies, and beer will be for sale in the lobby. Please save the date!
