Hi, I’m Janet, aka Dance With Janet, and I’ve been teaching line dancing & country couples & swing in the Chicago area since about the turn of the century (doesn’t that sound WEIRD???).  In 2014, four of my cruise-loving students approached me about hosting a line dance cruise.  I flat-out refused, citing my fear of airplanes, water, and ships.  My secondary answer was, who would attend?  I was assured people would, so I swallowed my fears & we debuted our first DWJ Cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas with 40 people.  I reviewed tons of dances we were already doing at Cadillac Ranch in Bartlett, Jeff DJ’ed, our cruise was a success, and I WAS HOOKED!!  I boarded a ship and was taken to destinations I’d only dreamed of visiting, all my meals were provided, someone made my bed every day, I attended Broadway-quality shows every night, and WE DANCED!!  What’s not to love?  So the DWJ Cruise became a yearly event!

I realized I needed help with the line dance lessons, so I asked my friend and award-winning choreographer LYNN CARD (Line Dance With Lynn) to assist.  A few cruises ago Cadillac Ranch’s DJ DAVE THOMPSON was added to our regular staff.  So, even with the break in cruising due to Covid, 2027 is our 10th DWJ ANNIVERSARY CRUISE!!  Lynn is joined by her husband DAN this year to teach us partner pattern dances; bring your honey and join us!

What’s it like, you ask?  On DWJ Cruises, we all arrive at the departure port the day before we sail and stay in our group hotel.  Most times we can dance that evening, which is a fantastic way to begin our vacation.  We then all catch a shuttle to the port the next day and board together.  We meet for lunch on board the ship and explore it as we move into our rooms.  Then we dance together at the Sail Away party on the pool deck, head to dinner (where we all sit in the same area), and have our Welcome Dance Party.  The fun continues for the rest of the week as we visit other COUNTRIES (so WILD!), have dance lessons & open dances, and attend ship events together.  I’ve seen so many lasting friendships forged from spending time together on these cruises!!  It truly is the best way to spend time with each other on AND OFF the dance floor.  What could be better??

I hope you’ll join us for this year’s trip!  We’re headed to the Southern Caribbean (Aruba, Turks & Caicos, and Curacao for 9 days & 8 nights on the Adventure of the Seas.  These destinations and our ship are special to me; I am so anxious to share them with you, as always.  Pricing is super reasonable, but we only have a handful of cabins left in our group block, which closes SEPTEMBER 30th!  Please call our travel agent, Hannah, at 612-767-3363 or email her at hannah@tvlleaders.com to book your cabin; we only have two weeks left!!  If you’re travelling alone, I have a roommate for you; call or text me at 630-492-0401.  It’s going to be a FABULOUS dance party vacation in PARADISE!!
